No, This Will Not Do

A drawing to keep up the practice of drawing.  I can be such a bag of lazy bones when it comes to my personal work.  It is called No, This Will Not Do because that was what I wrote on the back of the paper from some previous thing.  Hurray for saving scrap paper!

Abed with Wig

I don't know if this counts as fan art but this is supposed to be the character Abed, played by Danny Pudi, in the show Community.  It's from the spoof on Glee episode "Regional Holiday Music".  Danny Pudi is just so skinny, and the wig is so big, I just had to draw him.  I'm not that pleased with how it came out though.  The figure is too stiff.  And the wig isn't big enough....

Another Portrait, Alien Girl

Once again from the book Fruits.  This girl had a stuffed alien with her and that created the theme for the drawing.

The book Fruits is a collection of photographs of Japanese street fashion.  But I just wanted to draw the faces and test out my new water-brushes. 

Sunflowers

My mom's Christmas present.  She didn't know what she wanted me to draw, so she said sunflowers.  She got sunflowers.

Bon Iver

My sister Erin's Christmas present.  She wanted a combination of a picture of Bon Iver and an Avett Brothers poster.  I also had to piece this together from four different scans and then use the magic wand and paint bucket to make it so there weren't any shadows.  That is why the bird is two different shades of red, because I am not skilled enough to correct the shadows and still make it look like gouache.

The Dancer

My sister Hannah's Christmas present.  She wanted this pose and I made up the rest.  Please note that if you see sudden differences between shading, that is because I had to scan this piece four different times because the only scanner I have access to is somewhat small and the piece is somewhat large.  Though it came together well in photoshop there still are some differences and I am not skilled enough in photoshop to fix those.
